Google is rolling out ‘Personal Intelligence,’ a new Gemini feature that pulls your data from Gmail, Photos, Google Search, and other products.
There are a couple of use cases for Personal Intelligence. Instead of offering generic answers, Gemini can use details from places you already store them.
This makes the whole experience more ‘personal.’
When you turn it on, you can link apps like Gmail, Google Photos, YouTube, and Search.

Moreover, you can control which apps to connect to, and you can disconnect them or turn the feature off anytime.
For example, if you’re standing at a tire shop and don’t remember your tire size.
Gemini can find the tire specs for your car, but it can also go further, such as suggesting tire options for daily driving vs. all-weather use, and using hints from your photo history (like road trips) to make the advice more relevant.
Another example is when you need your license plate number.
Gemini can pull it from a photo you took earlier and even help confirm car details by checking related emails.
“We’ve tested this beta version of Personal Intelligence extensively to minimize mistakes, but we haven’t eliminated them,” Google noted in a blog post.
“You may encounter inaccurate responses or “over-personalization,” where the model makes connections between unrelated topics. When you see this, please provide feedback by giving the response a “thumbs down.”
Google says the feature is turned off by default, and it needs to be turned on. Personal Intelligence is rolling out as a beta in the U.S. for eligible subscribers first.
